This folder encryption
software allows you to hide
folders and encrypt files with
on-the-fly AES
encryption. Just
create one or more encrypted secure folders from local folders
and move your sensitive files into the specified encrypted folder
and they will be encrypted/decrypted
in real-time. From then
on, just enter your password and use all your files just as
you always have HandyCrypto handles all the encryption functions
instantly and transparently behind the scenes for you. You can
work with the encrypted
files as usual, and when
you're done, lock the secure folder, which will store the files
securely and also hide the entire folder from view.

Who Can Benefit from Using HandyCrypto:
If you have real sensitive data to protect
from being leaked in case of your computer was stolen, you will
need HandyCrypto which not only hides
your files
but also encrypts them on the
fly with 128-bit AES encryption.
How It Works:
The problem with encryption is you need
to decrypt each file before you use it and then re-encrypt it
again when you're done. But not with HandyCrypto. HandyCrypto
intercepts all reads and writes to your encrypted folders and
files and decrypts/encrypts
the data instantly on the fly as the data is read or written.
It's so fast, easy, and transparent you'll soon forget you're
using encrypted files at all!
- HandyCrypto provides transparent, on-the-fly encryption by
implementing a file system filter driver.
When a folder is selected to be encrypted, HandyCrypto will
store all files that are written or copied to it as encrypted
ciphertexts. When an authorized user opens a file within the
encrypted folder, HandyCrypto transparently decrypts only the
needed portions of the file into memory. The file data on the
hard disk remains encrypted. The authorized user can view or
modify the file and HandyCrypto automatically encrypts the data
when it is written back to the hard disk.
Since the data is only decrypted in memory, attempts to read
stored files by using low-level disk tools, booting into other
operating systems, or by connecting hard disk to another computer
will only reveal encrypted text.
